Barwick appoints new managing director Gary Campbell

Leading independent bathroom distributor Barwick tells us it is pleased to announce the appointment of Gary Campbell to the role of managing director.

This position has been created as existing joint managing directors, John & Michael Barwick, both move to the position of joint chairman.

Gary Campbell, formerly of Manhattan showers, will take up his post this month.

Significant growth over recent years has resulted in a need to strengthen the board at Barwick. With responsibility for the leadership and development of the business, Gary will play a key role in driving the company's growth goals in the future as well as building on Barwick's outstanding reputation for customer service to bathroom retailers.

John and Michael Barwick will remain at the company playing an active role as joint chairmen. Michael says: "We are delighted to welcome Gary to the business. We have a longstanding relationship with Gary from a 20 year period when Barwick distributed Manhattan products. As a result he understands our business very well and we know that Gary's introduction into the role of managing director will be a smooth transition. His knowledge and experience of industry means he is very well placed to act as figurehead and leader to drive the business forward into the future."

Gary's delighted to be moving into this the new role. "It's an honour to head up such a well-respected business," he says. "There's already a great management team here at Barwick, so I'm looking forward to helping the business add the next chapter of success in the company's history book."
