Fresh shower tray solutions fashioned from innovative new materials
Duravit has increased its line-up of showering solutions with the introduction of the Stonetto and P3 Comforts shower trays. Fashioned from two new materials, DuraSolid Q and DuraSolid A, they combine performance with aesthetics and offer an attractive alternative to acrylic.
Stonetto is amazingly similar to stone... a stone that has been worn down by water is smooth and has an even surface without rough edges. Its robustness and pleasantly polished surface makes it both hard yet soft.
Now Duravit has brought this natural wonder to the bathroom by collaborating with the designer trio EOOS to create the Stonetto shower tray.
Made using DuraSolid Q, a 'stone-like' material with a natural feel, this special cast mineral product's matt surface offers the appearance of authentic stone, and is available in White, Sand and Anthracite. Thanks to its non-slip properties, DuraSolid Q offers class B slip-resistance without any additional coating, ensuring safe showering.
A particularly effective outlet is concealed beneath a uniform cover and, with the almost imperceptible incline of the tray design, it ensures water drains away easily. Ideal for large shower heads and rain showers, the cover can be removed quickly and easily for cleaning purposes. The Stonetto shower tray can be installed flush with the floor, semi-recessed or on the floor tiles depending on structural factors and personal preference.
Duravit offers both a shower tray support and support frame for Stonetto - but the shower tray can also be installed directly onto the screed or finished floor. Stonetto is ideal in combination with the OpenSpace B shower enclosure and matching shower accessories.
With the P3 Comforts complete bathroom range, Duravit and Phoenix Design have created a modern concept of comfort without compromising on design.
The special shower trays blend in beautifully with the overarching design of the P3 Comforts range. The easy-clean outlet has been perfectly integrated into the raised platform, emphasising the clear lines. In combination with the OpenSpace B shower enclosure it creates the ideal shower area.
P3 Comforts shower trays can be installed flush with the floor, semi-recessed or on the floor tiles with or without a support frame. The design was created with the new DuraSolid A material, which offers class B slip-resistance without additional coating. This provides a high level of safety and is one of the requirements for public shower areas and pool edges.
The P3 Comforts shower stool is available as an accessory and is quite versatile, serving as a design object, seat and shelf space that offers comfort and safety while opening up an entirely new experience: showering while seated.
DuraSolid A is a proven cast mineral material. Products created using this material are cast, making it possible to create completely new design elements. The result: flowing lines without any visible joints or seams. The monolithic shape creates an entirely new appearance, while the matt surface provides a premium, velvety finish. The material is warm and pleasant to touch and is a success in both look and feel. A soft cloth with warm water or standard cleaning agent is all that is needed for daily cleaning.
DuraSolid Q, another innovative cast mineral material, is being used in bathrooms for the first time with the Stonetto shower tray. The result is a matt surface with properties very close to those of natural stone. Duravit offers products made of DuraSolid Q in the typical stone colours White, Sand and Anthracite, with tiny speckles that reinforce the natural appearance. The material has a very hard surface and density, making it more resistant to damage and soiling.
Thanks to the surface structure of the materials, products made from DuraSolid A and DuraSolid Q offer class B slip-resistance without any additional coating.
