AHEC to hold its 2016 European conference in Copenhagen

* ahec.jpgThe American Hardwood Export Council is reviving its successful conference formula for an event planned for 20th & 21st October 2016 in the Danish capital Copenhagen.

AHEC will be bringing together leaders from the US hardwood industry and major buyers from European markets to discuss and debate the challenges and opportunities both industries face, by addressing current issues and future developments.

Mike Snow, AHEC executive director presenting at European Convention 2011 in Budapest under the theme 'Driving change in European hardwood markets', the conference will focus on new market opportunities for hardwood, the issues that drive change and how effective marketing and promotion can deliver results.

As traditional markets and uses of hardwood in Europe shrinks, there are new opportunities to position this valuable material as a high performance environmental solution within the built environment. By taking up these challenges, hardwood industries can win back market share from non-wood materials.

As always these discussions will take place with a line-up of expert speakers and there will be plenty of opportunity for participation and networking.

Registration will open next year and will be free to eligible delegates.

AHEC is the leading international trade association for the US hardwood industry, representing the committed exporters among US hardwood companies and all the major US hardwood product trade associations. AHEC concentrates its efforts on providing architects, specifiers, designers and end-users with technical information on the range of species, products and sources of supply and produces a full range of technical publications which are available free of charge.
