Ideal Standard unveils two new bathroom collections
You know when the presenter's really, really passionate about their subject matter, don't you? Renowned designer Robin Levien (pictured below right) is just one of those people. John and I agree that we could listen to him talk about the whys and wherefores of the design concept all day, so who better to present Ideal Standard's new collections than Robin himself?
The manufacturer showcased over 250 of its latest products on a 200sq.m stand, revealing two major new bathroom ranges, both designed by Robin Levien. The one thing John and I particularly loved is the clever shower door design, demonstrated here by interim managing director Dave Barber, which eliminates the need for you to douse yourself with cold water when you first turn on the shower. It incorporates a kind of 'secret panel', which we all agreed offered a great place to hang your towel while showering...
The new exciting 'Concept Air' collection offers a comprehensive bathroom solution. As the name implies the design is all about lightness and provides a combination of practicality and affordable luxury.
Developing the design philosophy of the ever-popular Concept range, Concept Air brings unprecedented elegance to the bathroom, tapping into the minimalistic trend for sleek and slimline interiors which can now be transferred throughout the household to include the bathroom. The range of ceramics, baths and furniture can be combined to give four very distinct looks for the bathroom in an array of sizes and finishes incorporating lightness at every element of design. The range features 27 products, including WC, furniture and bathing options.
Tesi, a collection of bathroom ceramics, baths and fittings which combine perfectly together to create a versatile and affordable bathroom range. Options work perfectly in family bathrooms, cloakrooms and en-suites alike. The collection is slender, elegant and agile: it's precisely adapted to suit environment and lifestyle needs, performing effortlessly in every role and never failing to achieve perfect balance. The range features over 30 products, including WC, furniture, brassware and bathing options.
All of the toilet bowls within both new collections are fitted with AquaBlade flushing technology, offering what is said to be the best aesthetic on the market, with superior hygiene, less splashing and noise reduction. With AquaBlade, the toilet flushes from the top of the bowl, washing the entire inner surface with no tricky to clean overhanging rim, and is unique to Ideal Standard products.
