Neff announces Masterpartner design competition winners at the Big Feastival

* Neff-Masterpartner.jpgThe winners of the MasterPartner design competition were announced at The Big Feastival last weekend, Saturday 27th August. The competition saw national kitchen specialists from the UK enter the competition to be in with a chance of winning one of the four categories: Best Showroom, Best Kitchen Design Under £25,000, Best Kitchen Design Over £25,000, and Best Use of Social Media and Advertising.

The judging panel looked for a highly desirable, extremely well planned and designed kitchen... A kitchen that included a range of Neff appliances, appropriate storage, individuality and one that met all the needs of the customer.

The competition was judged independently by four people.

"The standard of entries this year was very high," comments Charlotte Gorringe-Serrano, BSH Group trade marketing manager, kitchen. "We would like to congratulate all the winners and runners up who have clearly put in a lot of hard work. It was great to see all of the finalists at The Big Feastival."

The winners were:

Vidaco for Best Showroom, Development Direct (Scotland) for Best Kitchen Under £25,000, Butler Interiors for Best Kitchen Over £25,000, and Rugby Fitted Kitchens for Best Use of Social Media and Advertising.

Andrew Sinclair, Vidaco director, explains, "We are blown away to have won. I've got a fantastic team of people behind me: good designers, young people with initiative, fitting teams and an installations manager. The competition has demonstrated the standard of the showroom they put together.

"We have three showrooms in the group and saw an opportunity to enter our newest, 12-month old showroom into the Best Showroom category. Our entry was mid to high-end, with eight displays in the showroom, which is the perfect size for us. We have a very good presentation area and the whole showroom is virtually Neff.

"The Vidaco staff have all been on full training, so they know all about the products and are up to date with the latest models. We have found that people who are passionate about cooking buy Neff. With that said and the fact that the kitchen is the focal point of the home, the right appliances are a must."

Colin Wong, development direct (Scotland) creative director, comments:

"We have attended the awards for many years and it is always an exciting part of our design year to see how our designs fare against other studios. Having been fortunate to win on previous occasions, it is still nice to see that our excitement remains as high today as the first time we won.

"We like to focus on the design categories as this is what we enjoy and where our true passion lies. Knowing how thorough the judging is, makes this award memorable, especially when you see the calibre of the other finalists.

"Like the majority of all my designs, this particular design was more of a spatial design which involved in-depth discussions with the architect and the client. Every single architectural detail is just as important as the kitchen itself as I wanted to consider the entire living, dining and kitchen space as one in order to achieve the feeling of flow and positivity.

Mark Butler, Butler Interiors company director, says: "We are absolutely thrilled to have won Best Kitchen design Over £25,000. Our clients approached our company with a rather specific wish list. The existing kitchen area was four rooms, which were to be redesigned to one large open space. They asked for a definitive cooking area, wet area incorporating preparation space, and a dining area large enough for socialising.

"We provided these by designing the kitchen around a horseshoe shape cooking station with an adjacent bank of cooking appliances and a large amount of work space. This gave the client somewhere to work that was also in easy reach of the cooking appliances.

"We also included a large table area off the rear of the cooking station which took care of dining needs with the added convenience of this being positioned close to the preparation area."

Trevor Scott, Rugby Fitted Kitchens managing director, says: "It's fantastic to be a winner as we put a lot of effort into the way we present ourselves, using social media. This is the second year that we've won the Best Use of Social Media and Advertising competition so I'm doubly proud as a consequence.

"We always enter the competition because as a brand it is one that we as a business support and Neff supports us back. It's important to us to take part in the competition as it's part of the partnership and the relationship we have with the company. Personally I have been working with Neff products since 1979 and Rugby Fitted Kitchens as a business for over 20 years, so we go so we go back a long way."

All shortlisted entrants for the competition attended the foodie festival that had Neff as a main sponsor. To be in with the chance of winning the prize, current MasterPartners submitted their own designs online, with a focus on the design that best showcased Neff premium collection appliances. Each entry required details of the appliances used, photographs and an explanation as to why the MasterPartner warranted the prize.

A Neff MasterPartner offers excellent service, stunning design, knowledgeable staff, and will have a large range of NEFF appliances on display. 5 star MasterPartners also host live cooking demonstrations.
