KBSA reaches out to those planning a new kitchen at Grand Designs Live

* KBSA-reaches-out.jpgThe Kitchen, Bathroom & Bedroom Specialists Association has experienced another busy year at Grand Designs Live, which took place last month at London's ExCel. Five KBSA retail members were on hand to discuss visitors' kitchen projects throughout the show in the 'Ask an Expert' area and all were kept very busy meeting couples and families keen to receive expert advice on their kitchen plans.

Andrew Sliwa, Sara Seymour and Julie-Anne Giles from Elements Kitchens, Lloyd Burgess from HKS Interiors and Keith Myers from The Myers Touch, were all part of an expert panel, providing 30-minute design chats with people looking at a variety of different renovation projects.

Keith says of the experience: "It was amazing to get such a vast range of projects to give ideas on, from people all around the UK. I was particularly pleased to see the amount of young people and couples there who were hoping to use kitchen design to make more efficient use of their space."

Keith also gave a presentation on the Wednesday, Friday and Sunday titled, 'Creating kitchens with light, space and laughter'. The premise for the lecture was to show people the right way to approach design and discuss the difference between planning and designing.
He reports:

"It was great to see a full crowd at the lectures, particularly on the busier, weekend days, and there were lots of interesting questions to answer at the end. Many said they loved
the passion and how this was an untouched subject in many ways."

KBSA national chair Richard Hibbert adds: "We are delighted that the London show was a great success. We are looking forward to repeating this at the Birmingham event in October."
