F & P Wholesale turns up the heat as Prorad sales hit 2 million
F & P Wholesale, the UK's distributor of heating, plumbing and bathroom products to the independent merchant sector, has just celebrated the sale of its 2 millionth Prorad steel panelled compact radiator since the business first introduced a variety of radiators and towel rails to its extensive own label portfolio more than 10 years ago.
Despite the economic slowdown, the continued sales success of the Prorad range is something F & P's management team attributes to the strong reputation of its own label 'Pro' products amongst heating and plumbing professionals.
The company's extensive stockholding capability and ability to meet even bulk orders on a swift, next day delivery basis has also had an enormous part to play in retaining and growing sales in what has become a very competitive marketplace over the years.
Commercial Director for F & P Wholesale, John Gittens, explains:
"When we first introduced the Prorad range our aim was to meet trade requirements by providing high quality radiators at the right price, with ease of the ability to fit and forget being a key consideration for installers - not only to make their lives much easier but to encourage repeat purchases as well.
"However, the real key to our success in the radiator market during recent years has been F & P Wholesale's 'one tomorrow' delivery promise, which means we can meet customer requirements on a next day basis regardless of the quantity of product required.
"Whether it is one radiator or 20, the huge stocks held across our 11 distribution centres around the UK mean we can consistently uphold a high standard of service. Having just sold our 2 millionth Prorad radiator I'm happy that we've got the formula just right."
Alongside its Pro range of radiators, which are available in a variety of sizes and outputs, F & P Wholesale also distributes own label collections of high-efficiency Pro boilers and Pro underfloor heating products.
All products carrying the Pro name are designed to offer healthy margins for independent merchants and deliver on quality, value for money and reliability with installers and other trade customers in mind. And because F & P Wholesale only sells direct to independent merchants and specialist retailers in the bathroom sector, none of its products or services are available online or elsewhere.
