Refin creates Kaos!
Luca Nichetto has created Kaos, a new range of ceramic tiles for Refin. Kaos is part of the groundbreaking DesignTaleStudio project that pioneers the use of the aesthetic and technical potential of ceramic tiles for Refin, Italy's renowned tile manufacturer, which is now launching officially in the UK.
As the name suggests, Kaos is designed to be wildly random even though there may be small and subtle pattern changes. The tiles have a textured surface that resembles floating bubbles in relief and the result is a refreshingly new, non-repetitive design with a distinct identity. Kaos can be used in both residential and commercial projects.
Practical, easy to clean, low maintenance ceramic tiles for floors and walls, Kaos offers a complete collection in a wide range of sizes, both square and rectangular, in a range of 10 shades of warm and cool tones (across the grey and beige spectrum) with a selection of accent colours in red, blue, yellow and black & white combinations.
Refin, established in 1962, is one of Italy's most important ceramic tile manufacturers and is now launching officially in the UK. With an outstanding portfolio of design tiles Refin captures the spirit of Italian flair and craftsmanship that is associated with its tile industry. Quality, innovation and creativity are the mainstays of the Refin ethos.
Luca Nichetto was born in Venice and after graduating in industrial design he started to collaborate with Salviati and Foscarini. In 2006, he founded his own agency, Nichetto & Partners, dealing with industrial design and design consulting.
