UK mums are dreaming of a white goods Christmas, according to money-saving site ILoveCashback.com
Top 10 Christmas searches at Britain's popular shopping site that combines price comparison, voucher codes and cashback, include the ever-helpful 'dishwasher', 'microwave' and even the good old 'refrigerator'!
As Brits go online shopping crazy during the run up to Christmas with predictions of over £13bn being spent between now and the big day, it seems that some shoppers are snapping up big bargains while the yuletide offers last.
"Books, tablets and DVDs are still the most popular Christmas searches but it seems the massive recent spate of markdowns - on Black Friday, Mega Monday and Cyber Monday - has got people thinking about investing in white goods again," reveals ILoveCashback managing director, Brad Blake.
"It took us all by surprise when we also saw kitchen appliances like dishwashers and even refrigerators so high on the list of Christmas products people are searching for with us.
"One of our live support staff even mentioned someone had said they'd had a nightmare about the Christmas washing up, so looked up a dishwasher and snapped one up! She really must have been dreaming of a white Christmas!"
The website's findings come hot on the heels of KMPG's survey of global shopping habits which suggests UK shoppers are embracing technology more quickly than their counterparts elsewhere in the world. A massive 77% of British shoppers prefer to buy goods such as CDs, DVDs, books and video games online, compared with only 65% globally.
