Nolte Kuechen, Germany's renowned 'green' kitchen brand had a great show, as Bob Marsden, Nolte's UK Country Manager for retail, explained:
"It's hard to see how KBB could have gone much better for Nolte," he enthused. "Before the show I had an idea of what I thought would be a good result for us over the four days, and we eclipsed that at the end of day one! The comments from visitors to the stand have been unanimously positive and the number of qualified leads that we have taken for both retail and contract potential customers will keep us very busy for the next few months.
"All in all, this has been a resounding success which is starting to bear fruit already."
The company was exhibiting at KBB Birmingham with its own stand for the first time since it started supplying UK customers on a direct basis.
Eight displays showed a cross-section of current innovations and offered a lot to explore. Covering various ranges, finishes and price groups there were new fronts, trend colours, warm wood decors and organic shapes.
Bob saw the show as a chance to meet future Nolte direct customers, as well as the many dealers that have already dedicated showroom space to the brand over the last 12 months.
"We are experiencing phenomenal interest from dealers, and the show provides a superb opportunity for potential customers to see first-hand the quality of the Nolte product and the design solutions it can offer them on home soil, without having to visit our showroom in Germany," he explained.
One of the highlights at the show were the company's convex doors. These are available in various heights and widths for wall and base units as well as islands. Customers can choose between the Push-to-Open feature and a vertically positioned handle. The single door base unit can be ordered either with shelves or pull-out, and a new stainless steel plinth follows the curves. The kitchen showcased features trend colour Sahara and wood decor Limed Moor Oak.
The company's 'Naturally Nolte Kuechen' motto reflects the trend for organic shapes and natural shades such as the above, but also for wood decors like Provence Elm and Chalet Oak. The show saw the launch of a Chalet Oak carcase, taking the total of colour co-ordinating carcases to 17.
"This premium feature as well as the matching dust seal is a standard at Nolte Kuechen. Nolte caters for all tastes and budgets," explained Bob.
Trend Lack, featured in vibrant Azzurro and Rosso with White, is an attractively priced high-gloss lacquer front providing colourful eye catchers. The edge is applied with a laser welding technique leaving virtually no visible seams.
Like lacquer, glass remains a favourite with customers for its shiny, easy to clean surface and visual effect, opening up a space through reflections. Nolte has launched Glas Tec Plus with safety glass and an all-round PP-edge, making this premium front hard wearing. It is available with either handle strip or rail handle.
For lovers of shaker style doors Nolte showcased Windsor with soft matt lacquer finish. The front is available in Magnolia softmatt and Sahara softmatt. New shelves, cornices and other details are available for a homogenous design. Another option within the frame doors and in line with the natural look is High Wood, which is now available in Provence Elm decor was also on display at the show.
Literally rounding things off with lacquer front Nova Lack and a stainless steel plinth, this kitchen featured Nolte's new convex doors for wall, base and island units. The natural look of the organic shapes is also reflected in the earthy shades High-gloss Plain Kubanit and High-gloss Terra with colour-coordinated worktop.
