Mike Campbell writes about the opening of Sally UK Shower Equipment's UK Office

"Zhongshan Sally Shower Equipment has been trading here in the UK now for over six years with some excellent OEM and Bathroom product distributors, our main customers being handled either directly through our international trade department or our European based trading agent", states Mike Campbell Managing Director of Sally UK.

The increasing demands of our customers and the ever difficult trading conditions of the global market, and in particular for Sally Zhongshan, the UK market; has meant that simply being a Chinese manufacturer, competing on price alone was not good enough.

In early 2011 I joined Sally to build the UK division of the Sally Zhongshan Global operation, my main attention being to secure the already established UK customers as we moved away from trading through an agent. This has been successfully completed and I am pleased that our UK customers are significantly happier with the overall management of their business through the Sally UK business operation.

For Sally UK we are now driving a very comprehensive NPD plan designed to meet current UK bathroom trends and to set new design innovations that will actually lead the market. We would like to share these products with our new and existing customers during 2012.

These products include remote 'colour change glass' technology for complete discretion in showering; mirror glass so the shower cubicle becomes a full length mirror, (available on both the inside and outside of the shower cubicle, which can prove to be very interesting)!

We have a full range of coloured aluminium frames, in the colours of BMW and Mercedes cars, with an exact match to the consumer's own car colour, integrated blue tooth technology for phone and music playback whilst showering.

And to compliment this we also have touch sensitive electric open/close shower doors with the automatic 'open' technology used on electric car door windows for guaranteed safety.

In China we are one of the top five suppliers of shower enclosures and we are a supplier to China's largest real estate developer, and we also have over 300 franchise outlets displaying Sally brand products.

In the UK we will only supply to our customers in their own-branding and for this it has been vital that I establish our UK Office offering full customer service and support.
