Portway announces new sales strategy headed by Stephen Stroud

* Steve-Stroud_Portway.jpgStephen Stroud, formerly National Accounts Manager for Samsung, has joined Portway Domestic Appliances, to head up a new national sales strategy.

Steve, 46, married with three children, joins Portway as sales director and will be responsible for developing a new countrywide sales policy.

Portway has been supplying independent electrical and kitchen retailers for over 25 years with brands like Hotpoint, Indesit, Vestfrost, Bosch and the rapidly growing freestanding and built-in brand Amica, which offers retailers a margin-rich, protected business opportunity.

Steve, who has worked in the industry for 12 years explains: "Portway is recognised as a strong company with a respected reputation for friendly, prompt service from its loyal retail customers. This is a huge opportunity for me personally, and I am looking forward to making a major contribution to Portway's continued growth."

Neil Bradford has become purchasing director alongside commercial director John Bainbridge. John says: "We've dealt with Steve for years and are delighted he is joining us. The industry has challenges at present so it's important for the continued success of Portway that our growing team is enjoyable and efficient to do business with - we know from experience that Steve embodies both these things."
