Chris Watson joins Lakes Bathrooms' growing sales team

Lakes Bathrooms has announced the appointment of Chris Watson as area sales manager, in a move to expand its sales team. With a background in product design and sales, Chris will be working in the Midlands region to both support existing customers and grow new business for the shower enclosure specialist.

Chris is new to the bathroom industry, but will be joining Steve Bates at Lakes Bathrooms who has managed the Midlands region for the company for over six years. Most recently, Chris has worked within the leisure and tourism market in a sales role and before that he studied product design at Swansea Metropolitan University. He hopes to bring his expert understanding of design functionality and product quality to his new role.

As business within the Midlands market grows, Lakes Bathrooms reports that Steve Bates will take on a new national business development role, recruiting and supporting new retailers and merchants. Meanwhile, Chris Watson will provide account management for over 300 bathroom businesses in the Midlands region.

Enthusing about his new role, Chris explains his reasons for choosing to join Lakes Bathrooms: "I am excited to be joining such a high quality manufacturer that has a long track record of delivering the best products at competitive prices. Managing director, Robin Craddock is similarly positive about Chris' appointment. Outside of his working life, Chris has a very active leisure time; taking part in off trail endurance events such as 'Tough Guy', plus the 'Devil's Aquathlon' and 'Chepstow Stampede'. He used to play water polo for his home town of Cheltenham and competed in rugby at university. Now Chris is in training for the Cheltenham Triathlon and enjoys time in the gym.

UK based Lakes Bathrooms was formed in 1986. The company designs, manufactures and supplies a range of shower enclosures, bath screens, bathroom accessories and bathroom furniture (including mobility aids) to the merchant trade, house builders and local authorities.

Family-owned and independently run, the company employs 63 staff and has its headquarters in Gloucestershire, from which it distributes across the UK and Eire its wide range of products which are recognised for stylish design, ease and speed of installation and flexibility to suit a range of situations. The majority of its products are supplied as standard with AllClear protective coating.
