Bathing with a view: Kaldewei equips private luxury residences of 5-star hotel
For more than 100 years, guests from all over the world have found peace and relaxation in an exclusive setting on Mont-Pèlerin near Geneva. The 5-star Le Mirador Kempinski luxury hotel and the 14 exclusive apartments promote maximum wellbeing for guests and owners. Living up to this credo, several of the hotel suites and private residences are equipped with high-quality baths and floor-level shower trays in Kaldewei steel enamel.
Located at an altitude of around 800m, there is a special ambience about the Le Mirador Kempinski Lake Geneva, which was reopened in the summer of 2009. Characterised by a breathtaking view of Lake Geneva against the stunning backdrop of the Alps, each of the 64 suites and rooms overlooks the lake which is surrounded by nature.
The 14 luxurious private apartments, which were split off from the old east wing during the 10 months of extensive hotel renovations and then sold and converted in style, provide their owners with a quality of life of the highest standard - a further five residences are scheduled to be added from Autumn 2012. Along with all the hotel comforts including housekeeping, concierge service and limousine transport, residents also enjoy a phenomenal panoramic view from luxurious Kaldewei baths.
The exclusive ambience amidst nature is characteristic of the choice interior of the Le Mirador Kempinski and the private apartments. Both the interior design and the materials used were selected to harmonise with the picturesque scenery.
Interior designer VSI/ASAI Susanne Dalpiaz and German hotel decorator and general contractor A. Kreienbaum placed particular importance on the colour schemes - the exquisite rooms are stylishly decorated in warm, natural tones defined by a sense of discreet luxury.
This exceptional standard of quality extends all the way into the bathroom area. Baths blending in with the setting of the sleeping quarters deliberately add a striking visual style that provides an irresistible invitation to linger.
The Ellipso Duo Oval and Conoduo models of superior Kaldewei steel enamel 3.5mm combine classic elegance with purist design to harmonise perfectly with the stylish interior of the apartments - some in dazzling white, others in a naturally matt anthracite. Inspired by new colour trends, Kaldewei has this year launched selected designer baths in five natural shades: lava black, oyster grey, seashell cream, anthracite, and arctic white which not only play to the idea of pure nature, they also harmonise with surfaces such as wood, marble and other natural stones. They are perfectly suited to this idyllic setting high above Lake Geneva that is characterised by nature and exquisite design.
The baths and floor-level shower trays in Kaldewei steel enamel 3.5mm convince hotel and residence managers, and interior designers worldwide because of their perfect synthesis of function and quality based on the highest standards of design. Their hard-wearing surface is easy to clean and hygienic ensuring that the superior products look new even after years of use, all the while being highly resistant to acid, scratching and abrasion.
It is for these reasons that for many years stylish products from Kaldewei have featured as central elements in the modern bathrooms of quality international hotels and residences.
