New wetroom drainage system launched

CME Sanitary Systems has released two new wetroom drainage systems, 'Drainline' and 'Drainboard'.

"With increasing numbers of wetrooms being fitted into new and refurbished homes, this highly sought-after minimalist look can be achieved with our systems, whilst a high drainage capacity ensures there is no risk of overspill or flooding," says John Peter, Sales Director at CME Sanitary Systems.

Drainline has a maximum drainage capacity of 1.3 litres per second, which makes it ideally suited to meet the most demanding power shower systems.

Drainboard is a square shower gulley system that consists of a 100mm x 100mm pattern grated stainless steel shower grate, with four different contemporary designs available. The innovative Drainboard system is supplied with a stainless steel housing which is suitable for direct tiling and the top access allows for easy cleaning.

"Wetrooms are becoming more and more popular in the home, as part of the minimalist, contemporary look of modern bathrooms," continues John. "They are also very user-friendly for elderly or infirm people, as there is no stepping into and out of a bath or being restricted by a shower enclosure. Our new wetroom drainage products are easy to install and require very low maintenance. We are experiencing a very positive response from the market place with this latest addition to our range."

Drainline is a modular system that consists of a grate, channel and drain. The grate is available in seven attractive designs and is produced from high quality stainless steel - either a high polished or a brushed finish, to suit customer tastes. A tile plate option is also available to conceal the channel within the surrounding tiling.

The Drainline channel is designed to maximise hygiene benefits with a top access system that makes it very easy to clean. It is supplied with a sealing fleece, which is cut to size in the factory for ease of installation. It is available in channel lengths of up to 1.5m in length, which is ideal for larger wetroom areas. It is suitable for use with natural stone and ceramic tiles and a tile plate option is available to provide tile tops with a cleaner finish.

The drains are available in three models to suit different requirements and structural features. This includes the option of a low installation drain for when a minimal floor depth is available, as well as a drain with extra high capacity for power showers. A vertical drain is also available.

Accessories, such as mounting feet, allow adjustment of the channel height and facilitate easy installation especially on uneven floors.

A Drainbase sound insulation mat can be used to further enhance sound insulation and reducing noise from water draining from power showers.

Drainboard has a flow capacity of 0.8 litres per second, in a choice of two designs - either horizontal or vertical - to suit project requirements.

To be flexible to each particular installation, Drainboard is supplied with an optional sub-structure framework, which means the height can be adjusted from 130mm to 180mm. The system is also supplied with sealing adhesive to secure its position and guarantee performance.

Both Drainline and Drainboard are smooth and easy to clean, without rough edges and without hollow spaces in the drain area to prevent bacteria build up and unwanted odours.

CME is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of flushing systems and is dedicated to the highest standards of quality and customer service.
