Aiming high for 2013!

* FIRA-chutes.jpgThe Furniture Makers and FIRA will be taking to the skies - two miles high for their first skydive!

Staff and members from both FIRA and the Furniture Makers' Charity have committed to take part in this exciting experience, with the aim of raising as much money as possible for the only charity supporting the furnishing industry - the Furniture Makers (incorporating the Furnishing Industry Trust).

The skydive - currently standing at 18 people and still growing - is the brainchild of Andy Corbett, a FIRA Council Member, who is a great fundraiser in his own right.

The jump, from around 13,000ft - approximately two miles high, will take place from Beccles Airport in Suffolk on Saturday 4th May 2013.

Falling at 120mph, the skydivers will descend to 5,000ft in around just 40 seconds, where the instructor will open the parachute and fly them safely back to earth!

They will have around six minutes under the parachute to enjoy a breathtaking view of the local area.

So if you're feeling brave, why not join them. And if you're not, please support the industry's charity and help those in need in the industry by visiting:

Skydive participants signed up to date include:
