Brand new sink range from Franke has the Midas touch

* Franke-Midas-MTX-with-Ascona-tap.jpgMidas is one of the brand new sink ranges launched by Franke this month. Offering top-notch style and affordability, the Midas range forms part of Franke's Pro-Value collection and expands its offering of sinks with the Slim-Top low profile edge - sitting just the 1.8mm thickness of the stainless steel on the worksurface and thus achieving an almost flushmounted look.

Boasting all the easy installation benefits of an inset sink, Midas is compatible with a range of worksurface materials. It partners especially well with a laminate worksurface, giving the appearance of a flushmount with the benefits of easy and inexpensive installation.

Design-wise, the Midas range is based on the geometric design lines that are popular with both flushmounted and undermounted styles. The square styling and 25mm radii of the internal sink corners creates a clean visual aesthetic, while offering a high performance, easy maintenance sink. A neat feature of the Midas is the integrated tap ledge at the back of the sink which provides practical space, while housing a pre-drilled hole for the tap and pop-up waste knob.

Two bowl options are available which suit 600mm cabinets. The single bowl offers the benefit of an extra-spacious bowl measuring 550 x 400 x 190mm, while the one and a half bowl option offers the added functionality of two bowls which measure 340 x 400 x 175mm and 160 x 400 x 130mm.

Midas is available with optional accessories which include a stainless steel strainer bowl and wooden chopping board which sits on the ledge surround and can be slid from side to side for optimum user-friendliness. The Midas range is available in Silk finish stainless steel.

Says Steve Rutter, Marketing Operations Manager, Franke UK:

"For retailers, Midas is a versatile design that will suit a range of kitchen styles without dating. The Slim-Top profile is an increasingly popular style of inset sink especially when used with laminate worksurfaces, making it an appealing choice for the consumer looking for designer style and affordability."
