* alex-atala-full Electrolux.jpgHome appliances brand AEG is working in partnership with Taste Festivals to bring some of the world's most experimental chefs together in a unique experiential event fronted by Gizzi Erskine - The Lab comes to London.

Taking place at Tobacco Docks in London, The Lab's three night flavour experience will launch on Thursday April 25th, offering guests an array of interactive experiences and an all-star chef line-up, including top Brazilian chef Alex Atala, pioneering drinks creator, and drink scientist Tony Conigliaro.

Combining live DJ sets with live cookery demonstrations and food experiments with drinks mixology, The Lab will engage guests through interactive, exclusive and intimate experiences, giving them the chance to learn about flavours as well as enjoying a fantastic night out.

The central hub of the event, the AEG Live Stage, will play host to a number of food experts such as Ashley Palmer Watts from Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and world renowned forager Miles Irving who will take to the stage to give guests an insight into their inspiration behind food.

Live cookery demonstrations will take place on the AEG Experiment , which will showcase the creativity and thinking of many of the UK's top chefs including The Kitchen Table's James Knappett and Duck & Waffle's Daniel Doherty, with all chefs preparing dishes on state of the art AEG appliances.

Other features across the three evenings will include the Mixology Bar, an interactive mixology lab and experimental cocktail bar and the Noma Flavour Test where Lars Williams, head of research and development at Noma, will host tutorials and master classes alongside food experts and producers of unusual or forgotten ingredients.

Helen Haider, marketing manager at AEG says:

"The Lab is a totally unique event which we are thrilled to be launching alongside Taste Festivals. The recent popularity in cookery shows and celebrity chefs has meant that people are not just being more experimental in terms of what they eat, but also what they prepare themselves.

"AEG appliances will be used throughout the event by celebrity chefs and other exhibitors and have been created for passionate foodies who demand superior performance time after time; for cooks who enjoy the whole cooking process, who want to be in total control and who relish perfection.

"By bringing together some of the world's most influential, innovative chefs and food scientists, all cooking on AEG appliances, we hope to inspire people to experiment at home".
