New Saniflo MD predicts success
Since taking over the helm of Saniflo UK at the end of last year, managing director Tim Pestell is warmly welcoming the new financial year with an exciting plan for raising brand awareness and growing market share.
Tim, who has been with Saniflo since 2007 as sales director, now executes the dual role of managing director and sales director on behalf of French parent company SFA Group following the retirement of former managing director Paul Newson in December 2012.
Bringing 40 years' industry experience to the new role acquired with various leading players including builders' merchant Ridgeon Group, as well as manufacturers Barlo Radiators, Aqualisa and Ideal Standard, Tim is predicting a bright future for Saniflo and believes the company will grow even stronger.
"Saniflo enjoys great success in the UK and worldwide," he says. "The quality of the products speaks for itself and our name is synonymous with macerators. We've been getting it right in the UK since 1979 and we plan to do more of the same.
"An important part of our strategy is to remain a strongly marketed brand. We've invested heavily over the years and supported the market place - especially our merchant customers - through heavy trade and consumer advertising and we've had ads on TV since 1991.
"I'm originally from a merchant background, so I fully understand and appreciate that our products' success is greatly enhanced by the strong links we've enjoyed since 'day one' with our merchant customers. They're partnerships that work extremely well and relationships that we'll continue to nurture.
"Our product portfolio is growing steadily with an emphasis on innovative macerator and pumped products and this year we'll raise the profile of our prestigious Kinedo range of shower cubicles and corresponding complementary products including pumps, shower trays and shower doors. We'll also continue to grow awareness of our domestic and professional macerators as well as Sanilife inclusive design range.
