De Dietrich exclusively chosen by Cornflake to feature in the Smart App-artment
A VIP event was held by Cornflake, the supplier of premium home automation systems, to launch the Smart App-artment - its new experiential retail showroom in central London.
The two-storey apartment, just off Tottenham Court Road, is dressed as a high-end domestic property and showcases the most covetable home automation technology on the market. It is aimed at top end architects, interior designers and consumers, and available to view by appointment only. Visitors are invited to 'live-in' and experience the exclusive interior-designed setting created by award-winning interior designer, April Russell.
The Smart App-artment is the brainchild of Robin Shephard, CEO of Cornflake and has a number of delineated areas dedicated to the most advanced audio and visual solutions, together with entire roomsets that incorporate a separate bar and games room that easily converts into a party room, plus an in-house cinema room which enables the user to stream the latest movies, Sky or terrestrial TV. The open plan living area incorporates a stunning kitchen with intelligent and intuitive appliances exclusively from the De Dietrich Premium Collection.
The important aspects that combine every piece of hidden wired technology are ease of use, and touch controllability. Whether by using an i-Pad or Android system to control all aspects of home automation from heating, lighting, music, films, TV, telephony and web access, to using TFT touchscreens to control the most sophisticated cooking appliances in the stunning bespoke walnut kitchen designed by Ecoism Manufacturing.
Everything in the Smart App-artment is accessed and controlled by touch, and the kitchen includes Intelligent Control System Ovens (ICS) in Grey Pearl from the De Dietrich Premium Collection together with matching ICS Dishwasher, and the multi award-winning Piano; said to be the world's most advanced zoneless Induction Hob.
