In response to your opener to last week's KBzine!
Aaah! The age old problem of finding decent tradesman – I know how you feel and can completely empathise!
The truth is simple – there's no absolutely guaranteed answer, however The Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installers could be a solution.
Launched in 2007, the iKBBI is a non-profit-making institute that is government sanctioned, industry approved and dedicated to the kitchen, bedroom & bathroom sector.
We independently accredit installers nationally, to a stringent criteria, and work with these businesses to help them meet their commercial aspirations. Additionally we're working with some of the UK's biggest brands with a view to define & launch installation standards – which will be a real first for the industry!… visit: http://www.supportchange.org.uk
For now, consumers can search for local installers in their area by visiting our consumer website http://www.professionalfitters.org – Some of our members choose not to display their information on here, BUT those who are actively looking to speak with prospective new clients are (and are waiting for your call)!
