KBSA Supplier Awards over for another year
The Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialists Association presented its annual supplier awards at the recent 2013 KBBR Kitchen Conference. The awards recognise excellence in those companies that supply products to KBSA retailers and are the only awards of their kind which represent the views of retailers and not a panel of judges.
Built in appliance manufacturer Neff secured the award for Best Training Provider with sales director Mike Jarrett, saying: "This is our second year as winner of this category. We at Neff are very proud of our training facility, The Neff Learning Centre, and the team are grateful to all the KBSA members who have given us this highly valued accolade."
International producer and distributer of quartz, natural stone and recycled surfaces, Silestone Quartz won Best Display Support. Christophe Gontier, MD Cosentino UK and Ireland said: "Supporting kitchen retailers and helping drive their sales is hugely important to us, so we are delighted to once again receive this supplier award for Silestone Quartz because it reflects the display support we are proud to offer studios."
PWS, a fourth-generation family business, scooped the Best Product Supplier - proof of its position as a recognised market leader in the design and supply of quality kitchen components and work surfaces to manufacturers, retailers and installers. John Lennon, sales & marketing director at PWS said: "As corporate KBSA members our values are closely aligned to the Association's vision of promoting excellence and professionalism in design. Knowing that KBSA retailers have voted us as their product supplier of the year is a great reflection on our company and we are extremely proud to accept the award on behalf of all the staff at PWS."
Retailers voted for their top companies as part of the 2012/13 KBSA supplier survey, which has supplied valuable information about the amount of business generated by retail members for corporate members.
KBSA CEO Graham Ball said: "We are delighted that these well respected brands have been recognised by our members for their performance over the year, as the view from the front line is always the best reflection of how brands perform. I am pleased to congratulate them all, and know they will be striving to repeat their success in the coming 12 months.
"The KBSA is the only association to have been operating in the KBB sector for over 30 years. KBSA retailers are responsible for a substantial quantity of sales of premium products supplied by our corporate members and many corporate members have seen their sales increase after taking part in the trading benefit initiatives that we currently offer."
