Robert Lee Distribution expands in north of England with purchase of JSB Distribution
Robert Lee Distribution has announced that it has recently completed the purchase of regional bathroom distributor JSB Distribution. Many in the industry will be more familiar with JSB Distribution’s own brand of bathroom products Synergy Bathroom Solutions, a retail-focused range that consists of sanitaryware, furniture, baths, brassware and showering products.
The purchase is a very strategic one as it has huge benefits for both the customers of JSB and Robert Lee in that it facilitates the latter, Robert Lee, to provide better coverage in the North of England to JSB customers with its comprehensive portfolio of branded products and its own highly successful label Arley. Furthermore, the purchase also affords the existing customers of Robert Lee access to the products within the commercially proven Synergy range.
Speaking on behalf of Robert Lee, Managing Director Tim Wayman says: “This is a very exciting move for our business as it accelerates our growth in the north of England which is very important to us. JSB Distribution has a good reputation regionally but like all businesses over the last six years, especially distributors, the company has found a strain on its cash-flow which has held it back somewhat. We believe that with the strength of Robert Lee behind it. the business will begin to grow again quickly.
“We want to reassure the customer base of JSB that we are not planning any dramatic changes, in fact we want to encourage continuity and improve not only the amount of product available to them, but to improve the overall service levels as well.
JSB Managing Director Jonathan Bull comments: “I welcome the involvement and support that Robert Lee will bring to our business. It has been a frustrating time for us as stockholding recently has been a bit of an issue if I’m honest. At any one time Robert Lee holds around £6 million worth of stock and I truly believe that our existing client base of retailers and merchants will understand the benefits that this business transaction will bring to them.
