Croydex and European Water Label commit to Marathon WaterAid Charity fundraising campaign

* Croydex-Marathon-Team.jpgCroydex has teamed up with the industry's Water Label to raise money for the global WaterAid charity.

The fundraising campaign will see four runners from the bathroom accessories specialist competing in the Brighton Marathon on 6th April 2014 - with part of their training taking place at KBB Birmingham, in the form of a treadmill challenge.

The team includes Croydex's Commercial Director, Jon Langford; Export Sales Manager, Jason Newman; Business Development Director, Julian Williams and Operations & IT Director, Stephen Brooks who aim to complete a series of marathons on the joint Croydex/Water Label stand between 2nd and 5th March 2014.

"Here in Britain we tend to take water for granted, yet around one in seven of the world's population does not have access to safe water and 2.8 billion people do not have access to a decent toilet," says Jon Langford.

"With the bathroom accounting for more than 60% of the water used in the home, we are committed to helping people cut down on the amount they use but we also believe we have a wider responsibility to help communities across the world suffering from a lack of safe water and sanitation. That is why we have chosen to support WaterAid throughout 2014.

BMA Chief Executive and Water Label Director, Yvonne Orgill, adds: "In Britain the Water Label is helping people save water and conserve natural resources so it is entirely appropriate that we throw our support behind this campaign to help WaterAid transform lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the world's poorest communities.

"Do come and visit us at KBB Birmingham and show your support for Croydex's marathon runners."

Croydex kicked-off its fundraising campaign for 2014 by donating £500 to WaterAid instead of sending Christmas cards.
