Recruitment news at Holloways of Ludlow
Award-winning kitchen designer and cabinet makers, Holloways of Ludlow have announced the appointment of David Barnsdale as Workshop CAD Technician.
Highly experienced in the design and production of bespoke kitchens and furniture, David will be tasked with translating completed furniture and kitchen designs proposed by the Holloways of Ludlow design team, into detailed workshop drawings for the cabinet makers at their West London workshop. This is a pivotal role in the company which requires an aptitude for problem solving, an inquisitive mind and an eye for detail.
Holloways of Ludlow aims to make every bespoke kitchen unique, so nothing is 'standard' and many of the kitchen designs involve original details and unusual mechanisms that may not have been utilised in previous kitchen and furniture designs.
Mistakes, omissions or a lack of clarity in workshop drawings can result in delays, unnecessary expense and confused cabinet makers. David will be aiming to ensure that workshop drawings contain all of the detailed information required to recreate the sales designer's vision, efficiently and without compromise! Fortunately, David has spent many years designing and making cabinets for private clients and therefore has first-hand experience of the level of technical design information required by the cabinet makers.
The company says it is also delighted to welcome back from maternity leave, Senior Kitchen Designer Kasia Szoltysik. Kasia has worked for Holloways of Ludlow for nearly seven years and is a highly valued member of the design team. Her experience enables her to confidently turn a client's brief into an innovative but practical kitchen design with some individuality and character.
Kasia has also gained a superior understanding of Holloways of Ludlow's cabinet-making techniques and processes while previously managing the workshop. This experience and technical knowledge has given her the confidence to develop innovative design solutions and propose new creative ideas to clients and colleagues. She is also well qualified to train and advise newer members of the design team.
