Pioneering dishwasher from V-ZUG
The Adora SL WP dishwasher was one of five V-ZUG products recently awarded by the Plus X Award 2014. This powerful and groundbreaking dishwasher impressed the judges noting it for its innovation, high quality, functionality, ease of use and ecology.
V-ZUG tells us it is the first manufacturer in the world to integrate a high-efficiency heat pump in a dishwasher and this innovation reduces its power consumption by almost half. This gives it an energy efficiency rating of A+++. It is also incredibly efficient when not in use, using 0 Watts when in its standby mode. Further, it consumes just seven litres of water compared to hand washing which can use around 40 litres. A partial load programme ensures that the machine is efficient even during smaller loads, reducing the usage to one - six litres.
The machine's efficiency is, in part, due to the clever QuadSensor technology. This utilises a limescale sensor, a hard water controller, a rinse agent sensor and a soil sensor, to make the dishwasher efficient in maintaining care, cleanliness and shine.
This efficiency does not compromise functionality. The world exclusive and patented SteamFinish technology uses pure steam to finish glasses, cutlery and crockery at the end of the rinsing process. This ensures that the glasses are spot-free and radiate a sparkling brightness. This makes it possible to use glasses straight from the dishwasher without any residual trace of salt flavour - great for wine connoisseurs and gourmet food lovers. Even the most delicate glasses and decorative items made of high quality porcelain can benefit from the gentle steam treatment.
The flexible and greater internal space of the dishwasher allows it to be used economically and for different purposes to suit the exact needs of the user. For example, it utilises the usually wasted plinth space to increase the internal height by 6.5cm. Plates with a diameter of up to 33cm can be placed in the lower rack, while the upper rack can hold glasses up to 27.5cm tall, providing room for no fewer than 13 place settings. In addition, the upper rack can be moved into seven different positions, even when loaded in just one motion. This capacity and adaptability allows a greater number of items to be washed at the same time, reducing the need for additional wash cycles.
The dishwasher also has many other popular features such as the 17-minute Sprint programme. It's ideal for quickly washing items such as during a family party when you may need to reuse items. For day-to-day washing, its 63 minute programme is perfect for keeping crockery clean. Another handy feature is the Hygiene programme. It can be used to clean the appliance or to sanitise items such as baby bottles. The dishwasher is also generally designed to be quiet which is ideal for modern living in open plan homes.
