Luxury, bespoke utility rooms with Woodstock Furniture

* Hudson-bootroom.jpgThis luxury, bespoke utility room features a large Butler sink to brush away the mud from country walking and dedicated boot and shoe rack storage plus turned wooden pegs for coats and hats.

Generous cabinet and drawer space in a beautiful sage green makes the area perfect for storing away household necessities such as boot polish and shopping bags as well as washing powder and cleaning products.

British furniture maker Woodstock Furniture knows that truly bespoke furniture is the best way to accommodate a multitude of storage solutions for the perfect utility room and Andrew Hall, the managing director and chief designer, gives his top tips on how to plan this space:

"Consider how you will use this room - do you need a place for drying clothes? Do you require an area for hanging coats? Do you wish to set aside a place for recycling? This is the perfect room for storing paper, bottles and plastics until they are ready for collection.

"Plan this area as carefully as you would your kitchen with ample storage solutions from tall cupboards for vacuum cleaners and mops to neat, box shelving for boot storage.

"Continue the same colour cabinetry through from the kitchen to create a seamless space and choose fully integrated appliances for a clutter-free finish and introduce a low-level storage solution for shoes and boots topped with polished oak bench seating where you can take off your footwear, and make sure to incorporate adequate hanging space for outdoor clothing."
