Franke's Uridan waterless urinals provide solution to water leakage

Winchmore School, London N21 - a co-educational secondary school, has completed a washroom refit specifying Franke's Uridan waterless Cadet Pod GRP Urinals.

"We wanted a waterless solution to reduce water use and maintenance costs," explains Adrian Bailey, facilities manager at Winchmore School. "There are other water-free products available for this type of installation but we wanted assurance it would stand the wear and tear of secondary school pupils and be completely odour free."

The Uridan system is available exclusively through Franke Sissons in the UK and Ireland and is manufactured from glass reinforced plastic which is far more resilient than ceramic and provides reassuring security against vandalism.

The Uridan Cadet Pod's odour trap works with the aid of a special 300ml, plant-based biodegradable blocking fluid which lasts for up to 7,500 uses. Mounting brackets and tools for maintenance are supplied for quick and easy installation and easy replacement of blocking fluid. Urinal troughs in a range of sizes and colours are also available.
