British Ceramic Tile launches Trace, a new premium ceramic tile collection in collaboration with Conran and Partners

* BCT-TRACE.jpgBritish Ceramic Tile is poised to launch a new high-end collection for 2015 in partnership with Conran and Partners; the collaborative British design studio founded by Sir Terence Conran working across brand, product, interiors and architecture.

The company has worked closely with Conran and Partners to produce a contemporary, yet commercial, ceramic collection with broad appeal. Known as Trace, the collection blends contemporary design with an on-trend colour palette, coupling strong structural forms with tactile design.

Massimo Acanfora, Creative Director at Conran and Partners, explains: "Trace is a collection of three dimensional patterned tiles inspired by the archetypes of nature and brought to life through touch, light and movement."

Featuring simple modern structures and designs in a soft neutral colour palette, the Trace collection is perfect for any room in the home. Made up of three distinct design families of ceramic wall tiles; Fractal, Tactile and Linea, it also lends itself to feature walls, panels or borders.
Fractal cleverly refracts light through iterative structured geometric forms. Consisting of Ridge and Facet, the tiles are available in 198 x 198cm gloss tiles across Black, White, Putty, Plum and Poise colourways.

Tactile comprises both geometric structure with an unexpected irregular relief. It incorporates the existing Hartland range, designed by Conran and Partners, which has been updated with a new colour palette and matching gloss 25 x 40cm plains in Black, White, Putty, Plum and Poise.

Linea has been crafted from natural flows and grooves taken from organic shapes and consists of Flow and Point, a range of 25 x 50cm satin tiles in five modern neutral tones.

A coordinating range of satin 331 x 331cm and 498 x 498cm floor tiles complete the collection in Black, White, Putty, Poise, Plum, Dusk and Smoke. The result is a versatile, mix and match collection, which allows retailers to offer homeowners the option to create their own individual high-end look.

The Trace collection is launched under the House of British Brands umbrella, which brings together a selection of Britain's most established, well-respected design names. Conran, Hemingway, the V&A and Laura Ashley have all collaborated with British Ceramic Tile to create an iconic collection of ceramic tiles for 2015. From the quintessentially English design influences of Laura Ashley to Hemingway's inimitable vintage, quirky style, the House of British Brands offers four stunning, iconic collections.

As well as the tiles themselves, a holistic brand has been created for the collection. From logo creation to photographic style and packaging design, the look is simple yet bold and contemporary, fit for modern life. Specialist packaging features die-cut apertures allowing customers to touch and feel the tile surfaces.

The new range will also be supported by a consumer brochure and a selection of in-store display options including lifestyle boards and a House of British Brands display stand.

British Ceramic Tile offers the very best of British design together with quality, value and a serious approach to social and environmental responsibilities. The company supplies an extensive range of ceramic and porcelain wall and floor tiles as well as glass and decorative products to major multiples, national house developers and the trade, including independent tile retailers, contractors and specifiers.
