Hoover Wizard launches at London's Saatchi Gallery

* Hoover-Wizard-WiFi.jpgOn Wednesday, London's Saatchi Gallery saw Hoover unveil the UK's first full family of WiFi enabled kitchen appliances, Hoover Wizard. The event attracted over 100 guests and journalists, who enjoyed presentations from the senior Hoover team, live demonstrations of the appliances, as well as a specially choreographed performance from robotic dance act 'The Dance Mob.'

"The Wizard launch event was truly fantastic, giving visitors the chance to try the new appliances for themselves in one of the most prestigious locations in London," commented Steve Macdonald, marketing director of Hoover freestanding division, after the event. "We were thrilled to welcome customers and press from across the UK and were delighted with the level of interest in the ground-breaking new range."

The product line offers consumers the opportunity to have a fully connected WiFi kitchen that they can control remotely. It includes an oven, hob, hood, fridge-freezer and a selection of washing machines and dishwashers. The entire range can be simultaneously controlled, monitored and managed via an app that can be downloaded to Windows PC/desktop, Google Play, Android devices from 4.0 onwards or Apple devices from iOS 7 or later. The app allows users to monitor energy consumption, have access to favourite programmes, receive alert messages and view the status of their appliances and programmes while on the go.

"With our new Wizard range there is no longer the need to be at home to stay in control," said Steve. "Anyone using the appliances can preheat the oven from their desk, put a wash on while walking the dog or even wash the dishes from the gym."

As part of the event, Hoover announced that it was launching on social media for the first time with itsTwitter channel, @Hoover_UK, offering followers the latest news, promotions, domestic tips and more from the trusted household brand.

The company also unveiled the results of a new independent survey, which offers a range of insights into UK households and highlights that 40% of Brits would be interested in operating their appliances remotely via WiFi.
"The survey results confirm what we had hoped - that the UK is as excited as we are about this new innovation," continued Steve. "Hoover Wizard is going to change the way in which consumers do their chores and we're extremely proud that it's a UK first!

"The event was a huge success and we hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did!"
