Dream Doors targeting kitchen industry as it launches major new recruitment drive
Dream Doors, the UK's largest kitchen makeover franchise, has launched a major new recruitment drive targeting those already working in the kitchen industry, as it looks to meet ambitious 2016 expansion plans. The company has traditionally recruited its franchisees from a variety of different backgrounds, but as it is targeting 80 showrooms by the end of the year, has chosen to focus on recruiting those with existing kitchen skills and expertise.
"We want to hear from people running their own independent kitchen business, or those working for someone else but feeling they could do things better if they were in charge," says Bill Owen, director of franchising, Dream Doors.
"Dream Doors could benefit hugely from tapping into that experience and expertise, and for the franchisees that we recruit it's just a massive opportunity, with the chance to work for a proven business model and earn a fantastic living."
Dream Doors has more than 70 franchisees in showrooms all over the UK, and its model of replacing kitchen doors and work surfaces has proved enormously popular with consumers. 2015 saw the company complete its 40,000th kitchen makeover since its launch in 1999, and also saw a record turnover. The top performing franchisee turned over £1.2M in 2015, with the average turnover per franchisee more than £500,000.
New franchisees will enjoy one of the most comprehensive training programmes offered by a UK franchisor, covering business set-up, supplier visits, IT training, CRM, book-keeping, advertising and marketing, before undergoing a comprehensive sales training programme.
All new franchisees will have their training at a new bespoke training centre at Dream Doors' HQ in Hampshire, which replicates a Dream Doors showroom. Once they are established in their showroom, franchisees will further benefit from an award-winning marketing support programme from Dream Doors HQ, helping to ensure a consistency and quality of new business leads.
"We've had ex-footballers, ex-police, teachers and a variety of people from the corporate sector in the Dream Doors network, but hardly ever have we tapped into those already working in the industry," continues Bill Owen.
"For people that are willing to work hard it is a fantastic career and salary on offer, and adding existing kitchen skills, contacts and experience to a successful franchise firm can be a really potent combination."
