Smeg debuts stunning Dolce Stil Novo collection

Smeg has debuted Dolce Stil Novo - its most elegant and technically advanced collection of appliances ever. Conceived and manufactured in Italy, the collection comprises innovative built-in ovens, game-changing hobs and pan-stand designs inspired by the natural world.

Compacts, wine coolers, coffee machines, blast chillers and more complete a comprehensive line-up full of cutting-edge technology, cut from the finest materials, and following an artistic vision of where opposites meet and darkness becomes light.

Dolce Stil Novo represents the pinnacle of Italian design in a collection of minimalist built-in appliances, stylishly created in collaboration with long-time design partner and award winning architect, Guido Canali, and coming to specially selected premium stockists in September.

When it came to naming this strikingly avant-garde collection, Smeg tells us it took influence from a 13th Century literary movement in Sicilian and Tuscan love poetry, also called Dolce Stil Novo, which translates from the Italian as 'Sweet New Style'.
