'Blood, Sweat & Gears' and smiles
The Blood, Sweat & Gears charity bike ride in aid of Help for Heroes is now in full flow, which Cosentino UK and Ireland is proud to support.
The gruelling seven-day cycle ride challenges riders to a demanding 320-mile route across the Western Cape of South Africa, encompassing 22,000ft of punishing climbs and seven mountain passes.
Blood, Sweat & Gears is the brainchild of PWS CEO, Mark Stephenson, who is leading a team of four veterans, their support staff and PWS colleagues on the cycling challenge, with the goal of raising £250,000 to support the psychological wellbeing activities and programmes offered by Phoenix House Recovery Centre, Catterick.
The centre, run by Help for Heroes forms part of the Defence Recovery Capability, and has been specially designed to offer the very best recovery atmosphere for veterans and their families.
