iKBBI confirms Parliamentary line-up
The Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom Installers commemorates its 10th anniversary this year and is focusing its landmark on a reception event at The House of Commons on Tuesday 19th July.
Guest speakers at the prestigious and landmark event include Dean Weston, chief operating officer at Bathstore, Mandy Garnham, commercial training executive at Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSi) and Ben Burbidge, Master of The Furniture Makers' Company - the furnishing industry's charity.
Confirmed attendees include representatives from iKBBI Installation Standards Partners, B&Q, Bathstore, John Lewis, Omega and Symphony as well as Trading Standards, Gas Safe Register, NICEIC, Age UK, Homebase, The Furniture Ombudsman and BettaLiving.
The event will revisit achievements over the last decade, but will also focus on current industry challenges. The iKBBI is focused on the installation sector and the wider industry via its three core pillars (Education, Standards & Support) and implements various initiatives to deliver success.
iKBBI communications manager Denise Mayell says:
"This event is a great opportunity to deliver our message. We're delighted with the interest received and can confirm that we are at full capacity for the event. Importantly, we will be making some notable announcements on the day, with press releases to follow. As we were unable to open the event to more people, we'll be broadcasting news from Parliament on our social media channels - to include a live video feed on our Facebook page,"
iKBBI CEO Damian Walters adds: "Whilst we celebrate 10 years, an important landmark
for the organisation, the reception event is an opportunity for us to clarify our position
within the industry, our offering and those benefits our institute is currently delivering to
key stakeholders.
"We will also be making some groundbreaking announcements on the day, so would invite interested parties to watch this space!"
