Mereway launches silent auction for charity
West Midlands based kitchen, bathroom and bedroom manufacturer Mereway has launched a silent auction with the opportunity to bid for 13 lots including a signed Saracens team rugby shirt.
The auction is one of the many 30th anniversary fundraising activities being held throughout this year. The auction lots have been donated by suppliers and partners and offer something for everyone from wine and whiskey to an Indian meal and weekend break in Birmingham.
The final bids will be assessed and the auction concluded at the Sportsman's dinner being held on 9th September at Sixways Stadium, Worcester.
"We know that we have had the benefit of some fantastic support during our fundraising year," says Mereway sales & marketing director Graham Jones. "We hope people can continue to do so as every contribution, no matter how small, can make a big difference to our charities."
Mereway is aiming to raise at least £30,000 from a series of charity events throughout the year. The company is supporting four main charities that will receive the bulk of the funds raised, with another list of local charities selected by staff all to receive a donation.
The four charities that will benefit are Acorns, The Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity, Help for Heroes and Helping Harry Help Others.
