Team Croydex counts down to Tough Sh!t challenge

Croydex is counting down to October's Tough Sh!t challenge which sees its 11-strong team of runners tackle a 10K toilet-themed obstacle course to fundraise for WaterAid.

Employees from the Andover-based bathroom accessories specialist hope to raise £2,500, which will go towards installing toilets in communities currently without this basic facility.

"It's a shocking fact that 2.5 billion people worldwide don't have access to a decent toilet," explains croydex retail commercial manager, Dominick McHarg, who is taking part in the challenge.

"Many have no choice but to go in the open, which can be embarrassing and also spread diseases. We believe we have a wider responsibility to help communities across the world suffering from a lack of water and sanitation.
"That is why we are supporting WaterAid and we hope our fundraising efforts will make a profound difference to the lives of people who are otherwise deprived of something as simple as safe toilet facilities."

Tough Sh!t features 20 toilet-themed obstacles, including the Toilet Toil, the Floaters and the Porta Slide. The challenge takes place on 15th October in Surrey.
