Abode continues investment in training
Three years ago, Abode committed to giving something back to the community, in and around the local Barnsley area, by employing a number of apprentices.
Regan Goddard, who joined in 2014, has worked and studied diligently and has already graduated with a nationally recognised NVQ Level 2 qualification.
Ellie McCall and Abbie Wilkinson, two additional apprentices working at Abode, passed their NVQ Level 2 exams in Business and Administration earlier this year and will now be working towards gaining their NVQ Level 3 qualification in Customer Services. Both Ellie and Abbie will start their studies with North Lancashire Training.
Funded through the European Social Fund which supports activities to extend employment opportunities and help employers develop a skilled workforce, the courses can take 12 - 14 months to complete.
"It's great to see our former apprentices make an increasing contribution by applying what they have learned," says Abode's Matthew Pitt. "Our ongoing commitment to staff training is an investment, not only in their career development but also in the long term future of the company, as it continues to grow."
