British Ceramic Tile lend a helping hand to home development charity

* BCT-giving.jpgBritish Ceramic Tile has made a generous donation of stock to Huddersfield based charity, Fusion Housing. A variety of ceramic tiles and contemporary glass splashbacks have been donated by the company, with the intention of renovating houses across the region to help people gain access to habitable accommodation.

"We were amazed with the generosity displayed by British Ceramic Tile and that the company chose to support our cause," says Hana Nadat, representative for Fusion Housing. "The donation will help us cut costs for some of our future projects and allow us to provide more housing to those who need it."

As a UK manufacturer, British Ceramic Tile has a serious commitment to the environment and the local community. Throughout the business, it is dedicated to minimising waste and recycling raw materials such as ceramics, water and cardboard, and is keen to donate excess stock to charities and organisations close to its three sites in Bradford, London and Devon.

Caryn Clarke, marketing director at British Ceramic Tile, adds: "We are always looking for opportunities to reach out to the local community and recycle our excess stock as best we can. I hope that these tiles do justice to the brilliant work that Fusion Housing do and that we can continue to support their work."

Helping individuals who experience housing related problems, Fusion Housing forms an umbrella group of smaller charities, dedicated to improving the lives of those in need. Offering a range of support services, including employment advice to get people work-ready, and a food bank to help single parents provide for their family, the charity helps thousands of people from the Kirklees district each year.
