Andrew takes sales & marketing crown at AKW
AKW, the UK's renowned manufacturer of accessible bathrooms, kitchens and mobility support solutions, has appointed Andrew Crown to the role of sales and marketing director.
Andrew will be a driving force behind the company's ambitious plans for double-digit growth and further development of its market leading position in the care, social housing, retirement and mainstream sectors.
Reporting directly to AKW Group CEO Paul Massey, Andrew will lead a 40 strong sales & marketing team. His responsibilities will include: providing strategic direction for the business; further aligning critical internal functions within product development, marketing and sales; and continuing AKW's excellence in delivering industry-leading customer service.
"This is an exciting time to join AKW," says Andrew. "Although our growth ambitions are high they are supported by an outstanding management team and underpinned by a solid business infrastructure. AKW has an award-winning combination of continuous investment in innovation, a diverse product range, deep understanding of the care, social housing and retirement sectors - and an innovative approach to logistics and manufacturing. All of this is enabled and supported by people that are exceptionally passionate about the markets we serve and our role in improving the daily lives of our customers."
Over the last two decades, Andrew has worked with a number of extremely successful companies, building a solid track record in developing effective teams and transforming businesses within the heating and utilities sectors. Prior to joining AKW, Andrew was managing director at ATAG Heating Technology, where he held full responsibility for planning, building and successfully launching the business to market.
Paul Massey is delighted with the appointment. "We're very pleased to have Andrew on board," he says. "He brings with him excellent commercial knowledge and a detailed understanding of the sectors we serve. Both of these are critical to the achievement of our business goals, which include further strengthening our market leading position in our core sectors, gaining greater share in the domestic wet room market and maintaining strong relationships with merchants and distribution partners."
