Inexpensive 'stone look' floors are easy to install
While Select First has always been a champion of wood and carpet, the company believes that there is something enticing about stone underfoot with its shade and texture versatility.
Stone flooring can, however, be tricky to install and maintain, and it's likely to arrive with a hefty price tag - hence the company's interest in 'stone look' floors; authentic imitations spanning slate, limestone, marble, concrete, pebble and mosaic.
The 'Slate Look', pictured here, is one of the most popular underfoot looks among homeowners. This metamorphic rock arrives in tile form and is generally available in black, dark grey and light grey hues.
Other offerings include 'Limestone', imitating the versatile calciferous rock, with its similarities to both travertine and marble; 'Marble', which screams luxury and grandeur, yet comes in laminate form; 'Concrete', echoing the trend for industrial spaces; 'Pebble', which offers the illusion of pebbles stretching from wall-to-wall, and 'Mosaic', which provides intricacy and versatility in colour. The company's favourite is produced on cork engineered boards, meaning you can achieve 'mosaic' with a sustainable twist!
