Expansion prompts Aquavision move to new premises
Aquavision, a pioneer of in-wall and waterproof televisions, has moved its headquarters, factory and warehouse to new larger premises in Stockport near Manchester, having outgrown its previous premises. The company can now boast a 10,000sq.ft facility - nearly four times larger than the previous one.
"Quadrupling the size of our premises means we will be able to achieve significant productivity improvements," says Alastair Benn, the company's managing director. "We expect the benefits to be seen right across the business from improved workplace facilities such as heating, ventilation and natural light to dedicated R&D, service and production areas to mechanical lifting equipment for larger screens and a loading area for 40ft articulated lorries."
Aquavision has also taken on seven new members of staff including Phil Biggin, who as production manager, will be responsible for the new production staff and Clare Boucher who joins the company as customer service and internal sales manager.
"We needed premises that would give us the extra space to grow and accommodate both the increased business and additional staff," adds Alastair. "By the Summer, we will also have completed our new in-house training facility and showroom.
"Over the coming months we will be announcing new Aquavision models and products together with a vigorous marketing plan and new website."
