As well as announcing that it has selected Acorns to be its charity for the year in 2017, Mereway Group has announced a list of 10 local charities that will benefit from last year's fundraising campaign. The 10 charities were selected by staff to receive £1,000 each from the total raised as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations.
The charities are; James Hopkins Trust, Cystic Fibrosis Society, Air Ambulance, Loros, Alzheimers, Leukemia Research, Cancer Research, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Birmingham Women's Hospital (Ante Natel Clinic), Marie Curie. The balance of the £32,852.39 raised was donated to four charities; Acorns, The Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity, Help for Heroes and Help Harry Help Others.
"We had such tremendous support from staff, suppliers and industry colleagues that we have decided to continue our fundraising efforts in 2017," said Mereway sales & marketing director Graham Jones.
"We developed a close rapport with the team at Acorns and are delighted that we will continue our relationship with them. We are looking forward to another exciting year of events and activities."
