Hoover Candy UK appoints specialist logistics partner to support independent retailers
Hoover Candy UK has announced that it will work with independent trade specialist, Yusen Logistics, to provide the best possible service to its independent retail customers, a move in line with its ambition to be the 'supplier of choice'.
Deliveries from across the freestanding, built-in and SDA divisions will be made during opening hours, from 09:00 - 17:00, with Yusen offering full hands-on support at each outlet, ensuring Hoover's independent retailers get an outstanding and specialist service.
The service features haulage of mixed loads, handling laundry, cooking, cooling and floorcare appliances from the company's warehouse in Merthyr Tydfil, streamlining Hoover's workload and optimising flow. The solution also offers flexibility and scalability for Hoover, to allow for future growth in volumes.
"This new operation forms a key part of our drive to be the supplier of choice to our retail customers," explains John Pugh, operations director. "Based on their feedback, we've worked with Yusen to create a new and improved supply chain solution. We hope that this, coupled with the quality of our award winning, innovative products, will provide a strong platform for further growth in the independent sector."
Nick Rees, commercial director, Yusen Logistics, adds: "We have been delivering to the independent trade for 20 years now and it's great to announce our partnership with Hoover and to help them provide a fantastic service to retailers.
"We've worked extremely hard to understand the specialist needs of independents, such as clarity of delivery information, reliable deliveries at convenient times and support onsite, so we hope our work will have a positive impact on both Hoover's logistics and customer service."
