Welcome to the
KBzine
John & I are about to take our annual Summer break; this will be the last issue of KBzine until our September 8th edition.
One of the things I tend to do over the warmer months is take part in small music/wellbeing/personal development festivals that bring out the inner hippie in me. In a couple of weeks, I'll be attending one which, last year, ran out of water as someone had sold too many tickets on the door, meaning that there were (allegedly) 4,500 of us instead of 3,000. I'm not just talking shower and washing up water etc. here, but drinking water... A taste (or not) of things to come perhaps, if we continue wasting water the way we do. The fact that it was in the middle of a proper heatwave, didn't help.
Receiving a release this week from a company that produces and fits equipment which harvests rainwater for use in our households reminded me of what it's like to have to go without water, and I've included the information below.
As I've no doubt said previously, I'm proud to be part of an industry that's working hard to encourage us to all use less water than we currently do. I often wonder though, whether we could be doing more... If you're involved in encouraging your customers to install rainwater harvesting systems, I'd love to hear from you.
Yours,
