New technical director arrives at BMA
A new technical director with almost 30 years' experience in the bathroom industry has been appointed by the Bathroom Manufacturers Association.
Andy Mclean takes on the role with immediate effect and is already getting fully involved with running the technical function.
"We are delighted to welcome Andy to the BMA," says Yvonne Orgill, chief executive. "The timing of his appointment is spot on. The Bathroom and Kitchen Industry Business Conference is just around the corner, on 17 October, and Andy is keen to meet members and delegates from the industry.
"He has made a great start and we know that he will have a significant part to play in the progress and development of the association."
Andy brings with him a wealth of experience in the bathroom industry. He has held prominent positions in the technical departments of Twyford Bathrooms (part of the Geberit Group), Jacuzzi UK and Fluidmaster UK. He is well versed in the technical aspects of the industry and he will be attending a number of international technical and standards committees.
"I can't say how proud and privileged I am to have been appointed technical director of the BMA," says Andy. "I have been involved with the technical side of bathrooms all my working life and I am looking forward to working with our members to enhance the associations standing for the future ahead."
Andy is married with two children. He loves live music, sports and is a keen supporter of Stoke City.
