Combined Independents (Holdings) appoints new marketing head

* Robert-Blair.jpgIn a strategic move to strengthen, increase and support the company's agents and increase value to suppliers, Combined Independents (Holdings) has appointed Robert Blair as head of marketing and eCommerce.

Robert joins CIH with an impressive background in eCommerce having begun his career with Amazon in 1999. He joined the company in the pre-dotcom and Google analytics era and so he was at the forefront of the Internet industry.

During his seven-year tenure he was responsible for rolling out European communication policies and organising a global structure for customer feedback.

Robert continued his career with Crewe trading where he spearheaded a multi-channel strategy resulting substantial growth achieved by blending the online, instore and the catalogue areas of the business.

His career extended into consultancy, where his extensive eCommerce, marketing knowledge and experience extended to supporting a myriad of businesses including Liberty of London, Isabella Oliver and Micro Scooters.
