KBB Birmingham 2018: BiKBBI confirms its programme - T125
British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation has confirmed its programme for KBB Birmingham 2018 - a series of talks at its mini auditorium that is focused on a wide variety of installation related topics.
Sunday 4th March:
* 10:00 - Damian Walters, BiKBBI - The industry challenge: Damian explores The Farmer Report and how the UK face a very real skills shortage. Understanding the challenge is the key to installer engagement for the KBB industry.
* 11:00 - Nigel Prince, New Way International - Mobile solutions for installers: Nigel introduces mobile communication solutions for the modern-day installer.
* 12:00- John Bourke, Kitchen Connection (Australia) - Career opportunities down under: John's presentation will give you a profile of the Australian Kitchen market and explain the opportunities available for UK kitchen fitters and installation managers to build a successful career 'down under' for themselves and their family. The expertise gained in these careers in the UK is extremely valuable to the KWB Group, which has already been successful in recruiting and sponsoring many UK staff into its business.
* 14:00 - Yvonne Orgill, Bathroom Manufacturers Association - CE Marking, it's the law: You are probably used to looking for a CE mark on toys and electrical appliances. But did you know that bathroom equipment (shower enclosures, shower trays, glass and plastic shower screens, baths and ceramic ware like toilets, basins and bidets) must also carry the CE mark?

* 13:00 - Debbie McArthur, Procat - The fitted Furniture Installer - Story So Far: BiKBBI has been working in partnership with Procat to develop delivery of the new Fitted Furniture Installer Apprenticeship Standard. This brief presentation will provide an overview of the work already done between the two organisations and how they are working to deliver this new and exciting standard to support skills and growth in this industry.
