Soundbathe in good company as Google enters hidden speaker market
Delivering hidden music, soundbathe transforms (almost) any surface into a high-quality Bluetooth speaker. It can turn baths, walls, splash-backs, cabinets and furniture into giant sensory-audio music systems.
There are no visible wires, it's waterproof, hidden and completely safe and hygienic, all simply controlled from your smartphone!
With the recent announcement that tech giant Google has acquired a UK startup focused on technology that turns surfaces into speakers, soundbathe will be bringing this innovative wave bending technology to KBB Birmingham. It works by transferring vibration energy, through your bath tub or shower cubicle and converting the vibrations into sound waves. This effect means that you not only hear the music, but you feel the vibrations too. The experience has been described as that of being at a live concert.
Quick and easy to install, there's no drilling of the bath or shower required and once the panel has been fitted, you won't even know it's there. Simply take your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or tablet and pair up with the system, before lying back or standing under the shower and listening in amazement at how your bath is transformed into a giant speaker.
Techvision installed a soundbathe for BBC1's DIY SOS Big Build 'Isle of Sheppey' (aired 8th June 2017) and has received a letter from the family saying how much the two boys are now enjoying bathtimes, listening to their favourite music and feeling the vibrations.
