Hafele UK, Vauth-Sagel, Grass: Three-way partnership to cater for life's changing needs
Hafele UK's Katie Holloway (pictured with some of the POS material) told us that the stand was based on the theme 'Thinking ahead', that since modern life is providing us all with more challenges - from shrinking living space, the rapid development of technology and the ever-changing needs of the family unit, we need to build furniture so that each element is perfect for the way we live now and the way we will live in years to come.
"All the products on display are innovative, improving functionality and ensuring comfort and convenience," she explained, saying that Hafele was exhibiting alongside two long-standing partners - kitchen accessories and storage specialist Vauth Sagel and movement systems manufacturer Grass. Like Hafele, they were following the same philosophy.
Key to the Vauth-Sagel display was the Cornerstone Maxx storage unit; exclusively available from Hafele UK. This transforms previously wasted and inaccessible kitchen corner-space into a key storage asset. Shelves extend and glide out from the cabinet in a straight line, confining the travel path to the area of the carcass. This provides maximum convenience without impeding access to neighbouring cabinets or the dishwasher.
The two floating-design shelf surfaces are capable of holding up to 25kg each and come in two finishes - white, bordered by a railing element and lava grey in the new Planero basket variant. Easy fit, tool-free mounting of the shelves couples with height-adjustment versatility - even when installed. Designers and engineers have worked in close collaboration to ensure ease of installation with just five steps required for the Cornerstone Maxx to be fully functional.
"This allows homeowners to realise every inch of value from their kitchen layout," said Katy. As the footprint of a typical home gets smaller, such solutions are naturally going to become more popular."
Grass was showing designs in the new night finish, as well as the award-winning Nova Pro Scala drawer box, which offers great scope for creativity.
We really liked the Ninka Qanto corner solution on the Hafele stand. Unlike the lower-kitchen-cabinet-level shelving that rolls out from the corner space, this comes pre-assembled and rises at the touch of a button. We also liked the Grohe Essence Finishes collection - a professional tap selection that allows ultimate flexibility and design, with a pull-out spray. It comes in quite a range of colours to suit every taste! The Alusplash splashbacks, which, unusually, are aluminum-based, were also attracting attention.
