Abode makes a splash with raft of new kitchen and bathroom innovations
With significant investment in research and development across its business, Abode is launching over 90 new products in 2018. From hot water taps and sinks, to kitchen taps and bathroom brassware, the new additions combine product innovation, style and function - as visitors to Abode's understandably very busy stand, will attest.
In the kitchen sink section visitors saw a major relaunch of the Abode sinks collection with a significant number of new ranges on show for the very first time. The company's designers and technical teams have been working hard capturing new ideas and shapes in ceramic, stainless steel and composite materials, and these were clearly proving popular with visitors.
To accompany the kitchen sinks, Abode also launched an array of new tap ranges including additions to its Pronteau steaming hot water taps range, new finishes such as the stunning Century Copper for the Bayenne collection (pictured), new luxury-end, stainless steel models such as the Centaur single lever kitchen monobloc (pictured) plus an array of everyday kitchen taps at affordable prices.
The company says its innovative range of hot water taps has also been extended, with easy to install and retrofit options that are fast becoming a lifestyle choice for consumers.
And if that wasn't enough, Abode also launched a number of new ranges of bathroom brassware ranges, all on display on the stand which this year is even more spectacular than ever before.
The first company to launch stainless steel kitchen taps in the UK, Abode has this year brought in its innovative vision of the taps of the future, made from hardwearing and natural 304 grade stainless steel. Plus, with on-trend finishes from vibrant copper to classic bronze, the new additions turn the wet area of the kitchen into a design focal point.
2018 is also a big year for Abode bathroom brassware, with new finishes including sophisticated matt black and luxurious rose gold plus new tap ranges guaranteed to add a splash of style to the modern bathroom.
Time to Swich
We particularly liked the Swich... Laid out end-to-end, the plastic bottles an average family of four throws away each year would stretch from Manchester to Liverpool, making drinking water good for our health but not so good for the environment... but luckily help is at hand to help us keep healthy with a clear conscience, with the launch of the Swich - a clever little device that easily converts normal kitchen tap water into filtered water. Abode Swich can be fitted to any tap, to deliver a constant supply of crystal clear filtered water that is pleasant to drink.
Health experts recommend we each take on board two litres of water a day, which adds up to a lot of plastic bottles - unless families make the Swich and invest in filtered water on tap. Straightforward to fit and easy to use, Swich features a simple turn-handle control between filtered and non-filtered water which means users can enjoy immediate access to both the domestic supply and filtered water delivered through the Abode Aquifier filter cartridge.
The Swich itself is a stylish addition to the kitchen, available in a round or square design and a chrome or brushed nickel finish.
For pure filtered water on tap, Abode also offers a range of Aquifier Filter Taps and the patented Pronteau 4 In 1, featuring unique integrated water filtration technology to allow the flow of hot, cold and filtered water through the same spout improving the overall taste, appearance and quality of your drinking water without harming the environment or leaving you out of pocket.
Hot water on tap and in trend-setting style - meet the Pronteau collection
Delivering piping hot filtered water in an instant, Abode has responded to the strengthening hot tap market with several new additions to its best-selling ranges for 2018. Offering all the benefits of the kitchen mixer with the addition of instant steaming hot filtered water on demand, the Pronteau 3 In 1 is now available in a greater range of designs, styles and finishes. A versatile and practical solution for any kitchen, the steaming hot water tap is available in beautiful finishes such as urban copper, rose gold, matt black, graphite and brushed nickel, as well as a timeless chrome finish.
Utilising the same technology as the 3 In 1 mixer tap, the new range of Pronteau hot water dispensers enable a unit to be installed or retrofitted in any kitchen, providing steaming hot water at 98 degrees on demand.
In addition, is the exciting new launch of the Professional Monobloc, offering all the benefits and flexibility of a normal professional tap with the provision of steaming hot water in a safe and controlled way.
Tapping into kitchen trends
With taps playing an integral part of kitchen design, Abode has launched an array of new styles and finishes in its tap collection for 2018.
The first company to launch solid stainless steel kitchen taps in the UK back in the day, in 2018 Abode has launched its innovative vision of the taps of the future, manufactured from hardwearing & natural 304 grade stainless steel. The range features mixertaps in a variety of styles, with the new additions guaranteeing to bring a touch of class to the contemporary kitchen.
For the classic setting, Abode is going bold as brass with the extension of its popular Astbury collection to include Forged Brass, a stunning new finish that will add a touch of glamour to any kitchen decor.
Another stand-out finish for the traditionally-styled home is Century Copper, as featured on the new Abode Bayenne collection, with its strong colour tones making the tap a central feature on the kitchen.
The company's range of water filter taps is also being extended in 2018, to include two new innovations - a 3-way Orcus tap and the Modern Lanzo Professional design with clever hidden water delivery. In stylish stainless steel both taps help make plastic bottles a thing of the past, delivering fresh, filtered water on tap.
Abode is going back to nature with a major relaunch of the brand's kitchen sink range, with ceramic and granite being just two of the material highlights among the eight new families of sinks being launched.
Showcasing four new families of ceramic sinks at KBB and manufactured from the finest fireclay, Abode had an array of new design options and styles to show. The new Sandon collection can be inset into a worktop or undermounted for maximum choice and flexibility. New ceramic inset sinks meanwhile feature large deep bowls and both modern and traditional styling, making them a welcome addition to any kitchen or utility space.
With a grey colour palette being on-trend in the modern kitchen, Abode's new Metallic grey granite sink material adds the perfect finishing touch to this design scheme, while a new composite sink design, the Londa, also makes an entry for Abode in 2018. This contemporary-styled sink will make a real design statement and is available in three striking metallic finishes.
The company's stainless steel inset sink offering has also been extended, with the new Matrix R15 range. This uses the very latest pressing technology to create very precise shapes with almost square radiuses, while on the inset stainless-steel front, the new Neron and Ixis ranges are also highly practical yet super stylish additions to any kitchen.
There's certainly something for everyone...
Classic and contemporary bathroom design on tap
Of course, the finishing touches are all important in the bathroom, which is why Abode has introduced striking new finishes to its brassware ranges, helping this smallest of spaces really stand out from the crowd.
Matt black is a stunning yet sophisticated finish that is becoming extremely popular among designers, now available on the Harmonie range. The simple minimalist design of the brassware is enhanced by the matt black finish, to create a bold and contemporary range. Encompassing every area of bathroom brassware design, Harmonie in matt black creates a coordinated look, from basin mixers and bath fillers to showerheads and valves and everything in between.
At the other end of the bathroom design spectrum is Serenitie, a brassware range that features soft and fluid lines that bring a timeless elegance to the home, now offered in a deeply luxurious rose gold finish.
Set to become a design classic, this finish is of-the-moment yet will last a lifetime. The rose gold finish is available across a number of pieces within the collection from bath to basin and showering.
